• LOCATION: Cape Canaveral Lighthouse on Cape Canaveral Space Force Station

Thanks to Mary Jane Patterson and Cheryl Bennett, we are happy to announce that the Camera Club of Brevard will have a photo outing to the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse on Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Saturday, September 19th!

As you can imagine, access to Cape Canaveral Space Force Station will take some coordination with authorities and will need to be done ahead of time.  Here are some of the details…

• We need a minimum of 10 vehicles to conduct the tour, and have space for a maximum of 25 vehicles.  You may have as many individuals in your car that can legally fit.
• Times are as follows:  Meet at the Sands Space History Museum at 10:00AM on the 19th.  We will gather our group into a collection of vehicles for a convoy onto the Cape.  We will leave the Sands parking lot at 10:30AM. (IMPORTANT: If you are not at the Sands Museum parking area to join the convoy, you will miss the tour.)
• We will tour the Cape Lighthouse, and Launch Complex 26 and 5.  Expect to return to the Sands Museum at about 1:00PM.
• Only US Citizens and US Legal Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders) are allowed on the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. If you have minors in your group, we only need their name and date of birth. Each person must fill out a security form in advance.  These forms can be found here:  Tour Security Information Form.  In addition, each vehicle driver must include the information about their vehicle.  For everyone attending, when filling out the form, use “Camera Club” for the tour name.
• All forms must be submitted by September 9, 2026.  (For anyone with a valid ID that is associated with the DBIDS system, we only need their name and the DBIDS number – no other information is required on the registration form).
